About

For more than thirty years, I have been fascinated by one question:

What helps people truly transform?

My career has taken me through very different worlds in search of that answer. From business consulting and executive leadership development to psychology, mindfulness, body-based approaches and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

I originally trained as an organisational psychologist at Leiden University and later completed an MBA at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. Early in my career, I worked as a management consultant and later became Managing Director of a specialised KPMG subsidiary focused on leadership development and cross-cultural management.

Alongside my corporate career, I spent many years working in entrepreneurship, health, vitality and human performance, coaching leaders and professionals from organisations including Shell, ING, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPN, Stibbe, Radboud University Medical Centre, and the Dutch Parliament.

Yet over time, I became increasingly interested in a deeper question:

What lies beneath performance?

Many people appeared successful on the outside, yet struggled with stress, self-doubt, burnout, grief, unresolved emotional pain or a sense of disconnection from themselves. I realised that lasting change rarely comes from working harder or achieving more. It often begins with understanding ourselves more deeply.

This curiosity led me beyond traditional coaching into psychotherapy, mindfulness, breathwork, trauma-informed approaches and the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapy. Over the years, I have trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), hypnotherapy, breathwork and psychedelic-assisted therapy, including MDMA-assisted therapy training through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), one of the world’s leading professional training programmes in the field.

My professional path has also been shaped by my own journey. Through periods of challenge, growth and deep self-exploration, I discovered how powerful it can be to move beyond intellectual understanding and reconnect with the wisdom of the body, emotions and deeper layers of consciousness.

Today, my work brings together depth psychology, leadership development, body-oriented methods, mindfulness and expanded states of consciousness. I believe every person carries an innate capacity for healing, growth and transformation.

I am also the author of The Potential of Psychedelics, one of the first Dutch books to explore psychedelics through the lenses of science, therapy, spirituality and personal growth.

Through both my professional and personal journey, I have learned that profound change often begins when we meet ourselves with curiosity, compassion and honesty. Supporting others as they reconnect with themselves and discovering new possibilities continues to inspire me every day.
